No strike for the Norwegian Union of Employees in Commerce and office (HK) employees

The mediator Saturday morning (8th May) presented a draft recommended by the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and HK to their respective members.

In case a strike had occurred, the consequences for the transport industry would have been comprehensive, as HK had notified collective notice for a number of members in the largest groupage lading companies.

The mediation draft includes regulation of the minimum wage rates, a general salary increase of NOK 1,- and a low- and equal pay increase of NOK 0.50. The proposition is within the framework from the front union settlement.

A regulation of the minimum wage rates for 2011 was also passed. The parties also agree to establish a committee to assess the collective agreement’s working time clauses.

The settlement s will now be the object of ballot ,and voting time limit is 28th May.
