About Tollpost ActiveResponse

Active DeliveryStatus e-mail to sender normally after 2 o'clock p.m., showing all consignments which at this point in time have not yet passed control point 5 (loaded on truck) or point 6 (delivered to recipient) – but should have passed these points according to the Transport Schedule.

Active DischargeStatus was launched as a reference at tollpost.no last year. This service has now been further developed to also being “active”, in the sense that the report may be sent as an e-mail to sender. Consignments for which we have received an EDI-message are listed in the report, then checked against what physically has been discharged at a sender terminal. The sender gets an easily available overview of possible deviations and can take the required measures.

Active EDIstatus is a daily e-mail message which at consignment level notifies you of:

  • Lack of EDI-info on units/consignments physically registered at one of Tollpost Globe's sender terminals.
  • Use of P.O.box rather than street address in the address field; this in order for the sender to correct his customer database.
  • Use of invalid postal code according to the current edition of the Postal Code Register. (This may be downloaded from www.posten.no – enter search criterion “postal code”)
The e-mail message Active EDIstatus will be sent during the night and covers consignments for the last 24 hours. The Active EDIstatus service is automatically generated to customers transferring EDI.

Active ReceiptStatus: Many suppliers now send their customers a confirmation of order, but omit to include detailed information about time of delivery. By using the Active ReceiptStatus service, the recipient's information may include the date of delivery. When Tollpost Globe receives the EDI-information and the goods have been registered at one of our sender terminals, an e-mail is generated: ”Your consignment is under way, estimated delivery on (date)” This service also requires that the sender has stated the recipient's e-mail address in the EDI-message.

Active Advice is a service especially developed for recipients unable to receive goods during ordinary working hours. The recipient consequently needs to be notified when goods have arrived in order to get in touch with Tollpost Globe and arrange for delivery: ”Consignment addressed to you arrived terminal x, please contact us for delivery”. The advice may be e-mailed, but the sender is, of course, required to enter the recipient's e-mail address in the EDI-message.
